Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing procurement, budgeting, planning, and developing strategies for a lean Supply Chain
  • Ensuring optimum production and minimal equipment downtime through effective inventory level management
  • Limiting purchases in line with networking capital to increase inventory turn and ensure seamless operations/production
  • Financial budgeting based on actual and forecasted consumption/sales across departments
  • Contract management including legal, financial, CapEx, and OpEx agreements
  • Developed new techniques for tracking consumable usage and recording consumption data
  • Training team members on supply chain and management techniques
  • Decision-making for procurement and contract management
  • Strategic procurement of spares, consumables, and CAPEX/OPEX items for drilling rigs
  • Inventory management using ERP systems such as ADP and SAP
  • Planning and forecasting for equipment and spares, including product categorization, cost, availability, and lead time (ABC, FSN, etc.)
  • Procurement from OEMs and global suppliers under distributorship agreements
  • Negotiating pricing, lead times, and payment terms without compromising product quality
  • Vendor development and management for both bulk and emergency supplies
  • Warehouse management including layout design, stock forecasting, and inventory control
  • Daily stock management, perpetual inventory counting, binning, and categorization
  • Inventory control by reducing obsolete inventory, avoiding duplication, and updating superseded parts
  • Local vendor development for high-consumption and daily-use items
  • Crisis management for machine down conditions, petty cash budgeting, and emergency stock availability
  • Stock replenishment planning for critical items
  • Generating weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports
  • Continuous improvement of forecasting techniques and methods
  • Measuring and analyzing forecast accuracy
  • Maintaining documentation and SOPs for demand planning processes
  • Conducting current and future forecasting analysis with adherence to defined processes
  • Adjusting forecasts and inventory targets based on market demand and trends
  • Leading forecast and inventory planning meetings with marketing managers to review sales forecasts and inventory goals
  • Managing inventory targets, including safety stock levels approved by management
  • Reporting forecast and inventory performance (accuracy, plan vs. targets)
  • Monitoring SKU levels and recommending SKU rationalization initiatives
  • Facilitating re-engineering and best practices among cross-functional teams (Demand Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Operations, Finance)
  • Preparing and presenting Monthly MIS reports
  • Maintaining communication with principals and external stakeholders
