Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering. MBA in operations will be added advantage

Roles and Responsibility at Excelsis:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling: 

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and production targets. 

• Coordinate with the SCM team to ensure the availability of raw materials and components for the production process. 

• Production progress and take corrective actions to ensure adherence to schedules. 

• Plan & deploy the manpower for the various activities e.g. Assembly, testing & product development in the factory in an optimal way. 

2. In process quality 

• Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that the manufactured CNG compressors meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications. 

• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct regular inspections and tests on products and implement improvements when necessary. 

3. Production Process Improvement:

 • Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. 

• Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations. 

• Introduce new technologies and techniques to optimize production and reduce operational costs. 

4. Team Management and Development:

 • Lead, motivate, and guide a team of production team to ensure they are well trained and productive.

 • Set performance goals for the team and conduct regular performance evaluations. 

• Provide coaching and support to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members. 

5. Budget Management:

 • Work as per the business plan, monitoring production overheads , and finding cost saving measures where ever possible. 

6. Reporting and Documentation:

 • Generate regular production reports, providing insights into performance, efficiency, and challenges. 

• Maintain accurate production records, including production output, and quality documentation as per the SOP / tender specifications or NPD (new product development) process. 

7. Industrial Engineering: 

• Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services.

 • Capacity & resource planning to achieve the target given by the organisation.

 • Figure out how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency. 

• Optimum utilisation of the plant resources to achieve efficiency & productivity as per the set target.

• Develop management control systems to track production Output and Productivity more efficiently. 

• Drive OHSAS, KAIZEN & productivity improvement projects in the plant.

 • Supports other departments like logistics for in bound & outbound activities & engineering for NPD (new product development) activities by effective planning of resources.

Required Profile (Candidate should have an exposure to):

• Proven experience in a production management role within the CNG compressor industry or a related field. 

• In-depth knowledge of CNG compressor manufacturing processes and equipment.

 • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

 • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

 • Excellent Planning, Organizing, Problem solving and decision-making abilities.

 • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

 • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

 • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment. 

• Should have strong numerical, analytical, and strategic skills. • Good time management, able to work under pressure. 

• Budget management 

 • Good communication skills needed to interact with users, client Service Delivery Leads, Fair knowledge on Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, One note etc. 

• Productivity calculation includes takt time, production efficiency & Plant utilization calculations
